Privacy Policy

FrameOS is a macOS utility for recording a connected iPhone or iPad screen from your Mac, then trimming, framing, and exporting App Store-ready app demos. It does not collect, sell, share, or track personal data.

What FrameOS Does

FrameOS lets you capture the screen of a connected iPhone or iPad, choose an App Store output size, adjust framing and background colour, trim video clips, and export finished App Store screenshots or preview videos.

Capture, editing, and export happen on your Mac.

Media Access

FrameOS needs access to the connected device screen you choose to capture so it can prepare the images and videos you want to edit.

The app only receives the connected device screen footage you choose to record. It does not scan your library, upload your media, or access photos and videos you do not select.

Data We Collect

FrameOS does not collect personal data.

We do not collect:

How Your Media Is Handled

When you capture a connected device screen, FrameOS creates local temporary files on your Mac so the recording can be edited and exported.

Exported screenshots and preview videos are also created locally on your Mac. FrameOS does not upload your original recordings, edited assets, or export metadata to our servers.

Audio

FrameOS records the connected device screen for app demo creation. Audio is not captured from the connected device during this workflow, and FrameOS does not upload or analyse audio.

Third-Party Services

FrameOS does not use third-party analytics, advertising SDKs, crash reporting services, tracking SDKs, or cloud storage services.

Tracking

FrameOS does not track you across apps or websites owned by other companies.

Accounts

FrameOS does not require an account and does not store a user profile.

Data Sharing

Because FrameOS does not collect personal data, there is no personal data for us to sell, share, or disclose.

Data Retention

FrameOS does not retain your media or personal data on our servers.

Any temporary files created during capture or export stay on your Mac and are handled by macOS local storage behaviour. You can delete exported screenshots or videos from your Mac wherever you save or share them.

Children's Privacy

FrameOS is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from children.

Changes to This Policy

If FrameOS changes in a way that affects privacy, this policy will be updated to explain the new behaviour.
